This Collage series is a combination of acrylic paint and painted papers. The painted papers were printed on a Gel plate. I used different textures and layers of colors to produce the printed designs on the various papers that were used to create these collages. There are also a few pieces of specialty papers that are included in this series from my private collection. The acrylic painted black and white rectangle pattern is used to suggest a building, road or pathway.
This series was an exploration in creating a community that perhaps I might want to live. The further I got into this series, the more I was drawn to wanting to step through my collages and live there. Through the color, vitality and texture of these small pieces, it suggested to me a place that was alive with Possibilities, Hope and Joy.
